The Modern Slavery Statement is made on behalf of Buildgo Ltd and affiliated subsidiaries.
Throughout this statement, we refer to the business, collectively, as “Buildgo”.

This statement is submitted pursuant to section 54 of the UK Modern Slavery Act 2015.
At Buidgo we take the issue of modern slavery incredibly seriously. We will not tolerate modern slavery in any form within our business or our supply chains. We truly believe that valuing and caring for human rights is the top priority of our organisation.

Our Business

Buildgo, operates a hybrid marketplace for construction materials and services, combining our marketplace offering with our courier delivery service. We provide proprietary technology to offer a quick and efficient digital ordering service to connect thousands of customers with Buildgo and our partners in the United Kingdom. Buildgo is not simply a retailer, we are leading on-demand technology platform.

Our Operations

Buildgo is the UK’s leading on-demand construction materials and service provider. At the time of writing the company has the ability to provide over 6,000 products, to Ten million consumers with an average delivery time of 26 minutes (upon acceptance of an order). Buildgo operate from Central London (71-75, Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ) with a team’s spanning software development, artificial intelligence, procurement, sales, operations, finance and digital marketing.

Our Supply Chain

Buildgo primarily has suppliers in the UK, however we also engage with suppliers in the US and EU, and some of these suppliers manufacture in Asia. Buildgo procures services to support its business needs, such as software, advertising, marketing, call centre services, payment services, IT hardware, office real estate, packaging for deliveries, courier equipment, telecom and technology services.

Our Governance and Policies

To support our modern slavery commitments, we have a Code of Conduct which set out the
ethical standards we expected of our staff and suppliers to meet and underlined our commitment to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships. All company policies are made available to our people within Buildgo’s internal communication site. In order to reinforce our commitment to prevent conduct that may foster modern slavery, Buildgo has circulated its Code of Conduct, not only among its employees, but also to its supply chain. Buildgo encourages every employee and suppliers, through its Code of Conduct, to report any misconduct including any form of modern slavery.

Our Speak Up Culture

Your voice matters – “Stand Up, Speak loud” This is our motto and we encourage our employees and third parties to Speak loud about any (suspected) wrongdoing or anything unethical or simply not aligned with our Code of Conduct. There is a dedicated team responsible for reviewing any reported case and an appropriate investigation will take place.

Actions taken to assess and address modern slavery risks

Suppliers are taken through a Buildgo’s approved process. At supplier selection, this step includes engagement with Infosec, Data Protection, and Ethics, with mandatory risk-related questions. Sourcing governance and sustainability make up a significant weighting using our scorecard’s when aligning vendor selection. Buildgo holds contracts that can be either short term, longer terms of 36 months, or evergreen. Fresh reviews of each supplier are carried out on annual anniversary’s of contracts.

Consultation

Relevant business units of Buildgo have been consulted for the preparation of this statement. Buildgo undertook regular consultation and shared learnings internally with representatives of the various teams across the business, as well as third-party specialist consultants.

This statement was reviewed and approved for publishing by Buildgo’s leadership committee comprising of chairman, director, non-executive board member’s and strategic advisors.
